The BioLogic Guarantee
The BioLogic Guarantee provides a no-nonsense guarantee that every BioLogic wildlife seed blend will germinate, grow and perform exactly as advertised. All we ask is that our customers follow the fundamental and necessary steps to planting success, which we outline below. The guarantee is this: if you follow those steps, and your food plot fails to grow and attract more wildlife, we will replace the seed and put you in touch with a BioLogic Habitat Specialist for a free consultation to help you make your food plot a success.

BioLogic has determined that over 99% of all food plot failures are the result of planters taking shortcuts, not following the planting directions, failing to take a soil test – or experience drought or other harsh environmental condition dealt by Mother Nature. While BioLogic won’t guarantee success if your area suffers a severe drought, we will offer a seed replacement guarantee if you follow these fundamental and necessary steps to food plot success:
1. Soil Test: You must do a soil test and follow the recommendations for applying the right amount of lime and fertilizer to your planting area. Inexpensive soil tests can be made by any reputable lab (check with you County Agricultural Extension Agent) or by sending a soil sample directly to BioLogic Labs for only $7.50 per sample. 2. Seedbed Preparation: You must properly prepare the seedbed. This will involve disking and turning the dirt to allow optimum root growth and plant development.
3. Planting Instructions: You must follow the specific planting instructions on the bag, which includes a). planting the seeds at the recommended time of the year, and b). planting the seeds properly. These instructions differ for each product, but most germination failures occur because of improper planting due to either planting at the wrong time of year or planting the seeds too deep.
4. Utilization Cage. You must use at least one Utilization Cage. A what kind of cage? A Utilization Cage is a two- to three-foot round wire cage that is staked down over a small piece of your food plot so deer can’t get to it. We ask our customers to do this because it’s not uncommon for deer to devour smaller food plots right down to the dirt, leaving the impression that the plants never grew in the first place. It’s happened to us, which is why we developed simple Utilization Cages to measure browse pressure and plot performance.
The Small Print: So what’s the hitch? Actually there are only three. First, we don’t guarantee it will rain, and if it doesn’t rain, seeds just won’t germinate. Your area must receive a minimum of 1 inch of rain after planting and another inch of rain within 4 weeks of germination. Ask any farmer and he’ll tell you that rain is the biggest wildcard in the agricultural word! Weather can severely impact seed germination and plant growth – as well as wildfowl migration patterns. Next, save your UPC code and receipts, which you’ll need to file a claim (check our website for which receipts and other documentation you’ll need). And last, we’ll reject any claim that appears to be fraudulent.
